There is a lot of walking so bring comfortable shoes and I would highly recommend wearing long sleeves or insect repellent as the mosquitos are relentless. A must see if you have a spare day in Poland!
Reviewed 28 August Interesting to see so many bunker in the forest. We were a family of 4 with a economy sized car and it was 45 zloty to enter. The whole area is marshy and heavily infested with mosquitoes. The site is well preserved, easy to visit and very accessible.
Be warned there is little information at the site so a tour or guidebook purchase is required to get the full benefit. The entire region is beautiful with lots of lakes, canals, rolling hills and abundant agricultural lands surrounded by primeval forests. Ask iekuc about Wilczy Szaniec.

The place of the attack on Hitler is specially marked. Our English speaking guide Martin was funny and informative.
There is a historic plaque, as well as a well-made history board describing the assassination attempt on Hitler.
